Escape the Ordinary
This was definitely one of my favourite project. Kandima Resort was a stylish new resort located in one of Maldives pristine clear island beaches. Unlike many other resorts in the Maldives, Kadima took on an unconventional approach when it came to how they presented themselves – smart, playful, rooted, responsible, and human. To translate these values into their brochure, it was definitely a joy as it had allowed me to unwind and just have fun throughout the design process.
Of course, the only sane thing to do was to dive into using colours and patterns without a second thought! Their clever use of colours and patterns on their furniture and fittings, such as pillowcases and carpets, was the source of my inspirations for this brochure. Taking inspirations from their resort was important as it ensured synergy between the brochure and the resort.
Kandima had also captured amazing photographs of their rooms, facilities and activities. Thus, making them the main focal point of each page was only reasonable. I always believed in letting a beautiful picture speak for itself!
